Program Description
The Theatre Performance Certificate program provides students with training required to audition for and perform in theatrical productions. It includes training in Voice, Movement, Acting, Production performance opportunities, and Makeup design which will prepare students to compete in the professional theatre world.

The Theatre Department faculty supports high standards in theatre education, enriched with film collaboration; they encourage and mentor individual students to attain their highest potential.

Career Opportunities
Work in this profession is emotionally and physically demanding and involves constant auditioning, self-care, and networking. Students may obtain employment and/or internships with theatres in the local communities and nation-wide as performers. Performers may seek representation by talent agencies in order to work in the film and television industry, or audition without representation. Many actors do not hold regular jobs in the field, but work as contract entrepreneurs.
