Associate of Arts (AA) Language Requirement

General Education for all Associate of Arts (AA) students includes a Language requirement. The requirement can be fulfilled by any 1020 course (Beginning Language II). Note: For most students to fulfill this requirement it means a two-semester, 10-credit sequence (1010/1020) in the chosen language. These courses are listed as (LN). This requirement may also be fulfilled by taking the second-year courses 2010 and/or 2020 and by qualifying for experiential learning (see advisor or department for procedures). FYI for students intending to transfer: the Bachelor’s degree requirement is a 4-semester sequence. Courses should be taken early in a student’s educational career.
